relationship with the German Interior Ministry, federal police, and
Bavarian police. Dačić thanked Germany for its support in
reforms of the internal affairs services and especially for the visa
liberalization with the Schengen countries.
“Germany represents
one of Serbia’s key partners in the field of internal affairs. Our
cooperation thusfar has resulted in a series of concrete projects which
have raised the level of professionalism in our police,” the minister
said.
He also emphasized that this year marked the 40th
anniversary of the establishment of the Joint Commission of Serbia and
Bavaria, which represents a good moment to intensify cooperation in all
fields especially in the fight against crime, drug trafficking,
counterfeiting money, human trafficking, illegal migrations and false
asylum seekers.
According to Dačić, cooperation in the
maintenance of public peace and order, the fight against violence,
especially in sports, as well as in the field of traffic safety, would
be intensified in the coming period.
Bavarian Interior Minister
Joachim Herrmann said that Serbia has a key role in the Balkans and
that cooperation with the Serbian police is therefore very important,
especially when it comes to preventing crimes such as drug trafficking
and money counterfeiting.
