South Florida police hope they’ll be catching more crooks by looking into the future and showing up to crimes before they occur.
„Predictive policing“ is catching on across the nation, and some local police agencies are looking to institute it here. Software collects crime-suspect and trend data, analyzes it and compiles a list of crimes that may occur.
A police analyst uses the data to figures out where those crimes are likely to go down.
