Anti-Racist Action Days in Berlin October 17th till October 20th

[antiratage.blogsport.de] Racism in everyday life is a common problem and seems almost „natural“ in many people’s way of thinking. People are often confronted with their „otherness“ and are forced to feel that they don‘t belong. Current politics defines human value by someone’s immediate utility. The inhumane conditions in Germany prevent many from leading a life in dignity.
We refuse to accept this!

Dirt campaigns by the media as experienced by the Sinti and Roma in Berlin are common practice. Refugees are caught up in an absurd system of harassment and discrimination. They are forbidden to work; instead they have to manage with an allowance far below the Hartz-IV-rate. They are isolated in camps and are only permitted to move within a very small radius. People without documents are often not paid a proper wage and they are denied the right to health care and education. Racist police controls and brutal deportations are part of everyday life Germany.

All over the world there are people who fight such conditions. Also here in Berlin, we should not tire of participating in the activism against racism and exclusion.
We want the Antiracist Action Days in Berlin to be part of this worldwide resistance. These Action Days provide a space for connecting and exchanging information so that we can learn from one another. We shall make the invisible borders visible in order to overcome them.
We are happy to invite everyone to join in the Action Days! Get involved!

Become active – let us tear down the barriers in our heads, around the camps and everywhere elese!
