Date of the operation: Operation DEMETER is scheduled for the period from 24 to 30 October 2011
Place of the operation: The territories of the EU MS, who will be willing to participate in the operation.
Operation objective: Operation DEMETER will be the continuation of HERMES (BEL) and MITRAS (HUN) operations which were carried out by these Member States in the course of their EU Presidencies in the second half of 2010 and first half of 2011. The Polish Presidency sees the merits in continuing these operations in the second half of 2011.

I would dearly love to know why the operation has the name of a prominent Gypsy clan as name? That is hardly coincidence, I should think.
