Around 150 foreigners deported from Belarus during operation

[axisglobe.com] Around 150 foreigners were deported from Belarus during the operation Illegal Migrant, news agency BelTA reports, referring to the information and public relations department of the Belarusian Interior Ministry.
“Results of the special action ‘Illegal Migrant’, which was carried out by law enforcement officers in cooperation with the Border Guard Service and the State Security Service (KGB) in Belarus on November 19-21, have been summed up,” news agency cites the source.
The efforts of the law enforcement agencies were meant to raise the effectiveness of control over the stay of foreigners in Belarus, prevent and suppress their crimes and offences, and to detect foreign citizens and stateless persons, who illegally stay in Belarus.
According to the Citizenship and Migration Department, the number of illegal migrants, who infiltrate into Belarus, shrinks every year. Yet during the Illegal Migrant action over 1,150 foreigners and around 250 Belarus citizens faced administrative proceedings for violating rules of stay. In view of major violations of migration laws 150 foreign citizens were deported, with 51 of them escorted out of the country, BelTA notes.
The legality of using foreign workforce by Belarusian economic entities was examined. Special attention was paid to agribusiness companies. The detected violations entailed administrative responsibility. Local authorities and administration of companies have been ordered to fix the causes and conditions that facilitate crimes and violations, news agency adds.
