Overseas police training ends

[di-ve.com] An overseas training course for 19 members of the police was completed, police said on Monday.
The course, whose cost of €46,000 was funded under the Leonardo Da Vinci programme, took place over 4 periods of 2 weeks each.

In July 2008, the police officers sectioned in the international relations section of the force undertook training with colleagues from Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria and Italy, in the operating system of the “Schengen Information System”. The system is tool used to help the exchange of information between European Union member states in the area of law enforcement.
