Second public procurement for vehicles for Bulgarian border police to start

[sofiaecho.com] In the first public procurement for vehicles for Bulgarian border
police none of the offers qualified. Bulgarian Finance Ministry has not
opened a second procurement procedure, Bulgarian daily Dnevnik said.

The
new procurement has a total value of 4.58 million euro and consists of
a procurement for all-terrain vehicles and one for buses.

The project is funded under the Schengen programme and candidates can file their offers until April 13 2009. The
first procurement in 2008 failed because of the offers from four
candidates, only one fulfilled all the technical requirements, but its
price was higher than the funding for the project.

Of the candidates for the bus order in the first procurement, not a single company fulfilled the requirements, Dnevnik said.
