The shocking revelations about police infiltration of the protest movement just keep coming. Reading Laura’s story in the Guardian today about the 4the undercover cop has made us sad, upset, and angry… bringing home the true gravity of what the state has done to women in our movement.

In response, we call for us to come together – and propose a peaceful blockade of Scotland Yard, by women, in protest at the police’s unspeakable tactics and in solidarity with all the women who were exploited by men they thought they could trust on behalf of the state.

They broke hearts, and wrecked lives, but they will never break our movement which aims to save lives, and protect communities and ecosystems around the world. Our movement which speaks and acts for all the women who will be disproportionately affected by climate change, and who are still treated as second class citizens around the world.

Meet 8am outside Scotland Yard on Monday morning, January 24th

The blockade will be simple and dignified.

We will demand that the police tell us the names and identities of all other undercover offices who have worked or are working in our movement, so women can know whether they have also been abused by the state, and can decide whether to join other women in considering legal action against the police for abuse in public office.

We will demand a full judicial inquiry into policy spying.
We will show solidarity with the women who have been affected and show that our movement will not be broken.
