TO SUPPORT THE INTERCULTURAL SPACE ZETKIN, CONDEMNED BY THE MUNICIPALITY
TO SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION LA BELLE ETOILE,THREATENED BY THE MUNICIPALITY

MEET SATURDAY 13TH OCTOBER 2012 AT 10AM
IN FRONT OF LE VESTIAIRE, RUE DE CROY, CALAIS
To go together to protest in front of the town hall and the sous-préfecture

After the evictions of Roma camps which have restarted this summer, the evictions of migrants have also restarted, with their cortege of violence: destruction of personal possessions, harassment of people day and night to stop them sleeping, arrests and deportations.

We condemn this violence and demand that the state and the town hall of Calais renounce these politics.

We demand a politics of hospitality, based on dignified conditions of welcome, respect for the rights of people with and without papers, effective access to protective measures, and the possibility for people who are travelling to stop and to reflect on their project.

We also affirm our solidarity with La Belle Étoile and with No Border, two associations which are engaged in solidarity actions with the migrants and are being threatened by Calais town hall.
